Anneliese is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Licensed School Counselor (PEL). Anneliese’s approach to therapy is positive and strengths-based. She is passionate about promoting the holistic well being of individuals and tends to adopt an integrative style, tailoring her approach to fit each client’s unique needs. As a former collegiate athlete and current avid fitness guru, Anneliese has a firm understanding of the interconnectedness between strong physical and mental health. Anneliese’s specialties include working with children, adolescents, and young and emerging adults who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and identity concerns, and life adjustments and transitions. She also works with couples and families, helping them to address relational issues and learn healthier communication styles.
Anneliese graduated from Skidmore College with a B.A. in Psychology and then worked in the field of advertising for six years. She eventually realized that she wanted to make a more direct impact on individual’s lives and returned to graduate school to obtain her M.A. in Counseling and a School Counseling certification from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition to seeing clients at Lotus, she currently works as a High School Counselor at Loyola Academy, promoting the academic, social, emotional, and physical health of her students.
